The Olympics is a great way to integrate subjects. My class amde Olympic books. I always have the kids make the book covers first. The excitement of the art engages them from the start!

We cut them out uisn gthe lid from my liquid detergent bottle, and painted them each with gold, silver, and bronze metallic tempera paint. They were strung with red, white, and blue ribbon.
