Tissue Boxes for Valentine's Boxes

Have you ever noticed all the beautiful and colorful patterns that tissue boxes come in? I used "boutique" size tissue boxes as the base. These were turned into either owls or fish. In making the owl, the hole in the tissue box is on the top, the fish- on the side. Add scrap paper, buttons,doilies, feathers, etc.You certainly do not have to limit yourself to these animals or the boutique size. Here are the results that my second graders made. Have fun! Who knew tissue boxes could be turned into so many things?
