After reading, "Apples," by Jacqueline Farmer, we made apple books. The cover was made by prinitng our titles, author and illustrator in the computer lab. These were glued onto scrapbook apple paper. The pages included drawings of types of apples, how the farmer cares for his apple trees, nutrition value of apples, things made of apples, etc.
