Candy corn poetry

If you are teaching in a public or non religious school, the candy corn project can work as a poetry writing exercise. Ask the children to think of Fall things that they like for each color and write descriptive phrases on each section.
For example:
Yellow is the golden sun shining on the harvesting wheat fields
Orange is the largest pumpkin in the golden field
White is the snow that will soon be coming like cotton balls falling from above.
