Matisse- Consider the Birds

Look at paper cuttings by Matisse. Create paper by painting a large sheet with water colors using only lines and dots. Cut out a template of a bird and trace onto half of the water colored paper as many times as possible. Glue these shapes onto a solid color of construction paper, then do the reverse. Cut the shapes out of colored paper and glue onto the decorated water color paper.
